the clockwork is still in colorado (i think)
and sally of rivendale farms (and of the comments)
has been showing it a marvelous time in the centennial state.

it attended the estes park wool market with sally and her pal jill

where it may have broken a rule or two.
(jill seems like my kind of people)

sally and jill found this yarn-bombed tree in lyons, co.
they stopped to “let the clockwork have a visit with its cousins”
sally, i can pretty much guarantee that there’s no relation between my clockwork and what looks like that tree’s thneed.

then, it was off to see jan of cat crap hill (also of the comments)
where it became acquainted with chickens
and jan’s broadway tendencies.
1. the chicken!
2. how fabulous is her name?
3. at first i thought that alpaca was jan’s ponytail.

sally’s husband jim got into the act.
the chickens like him, apparently.

the clockwork was apparently “over served”,
which is, i hear, a common occurrence on cat crap hill.
and sally found it passed out the next day amongst its shame.

and finally, it met my namesake!
steven ambrose jr. looks far better in it than i ever did.

thanks sally.
you did colorado proud!
what’s next, i wonder?

It’s still here since the harlot will be here next weekend and we’ll have another little photo shoot before it goes on its way. By the way, for the cousins, it was more like the really distant inbred variety. 🙂

  2. Stephanie Says:

Ohhh my goodness. I enjoyed this post so much. I live in Colorado and want to hang out with these ladies!

    • Sally at Rivendale Farms Says:

Stephanie, where are you located? We’re always willing to take the show on the road! 🙂

  3. Jill Says:

I was just proud to be part of showing the clockwork a good Colorado time. And rules…we laugh at rules!

  4. Jan Walsh Says:

I was do overserved, I had forgotten this visit by the clockwork. I blame it on the chickens.

  5. Erin Says:

In case there are any doubters out there, I can truly and fully attest to all that Clockwork has encounter while hanging out over time with my friends Sal, Jill, Jan and Jim. For I too, have broken the rules with them, been over served at Cat Crap Hill and been serenaded by show tunes (from both Jan AND Sal!). The one thing I still have yet to accomplish is wrapping myself around Steven Ambrose jr’s neck…which is probably just as well 😉

Steven, Clockwork is gorgeous! Thanks for sending it along to breathe our mountain air 🙂

  6. Anonymous, too Says:

I am jealous of the clockwork! It got to visit Cat Crap Hill and get overserved, it got to hang out with chickens, AND it got to wrap itself around the very handsome Steven, Jr. Not only that, but it got to break some rules and meet some of its wild, rowdy, redneck, trailer-trash cousins (which have probably been overserved way too many times!).

Why am I not having as much fun?

    • Sally at Rivendale Farms Says:

That’s because you’re not here! If you find yourself out here, let me know and we’ll take you on tour, too!
