i have a need*

July 29, 2010

and it’s still for beads.
however, the need has changed
in that it has become more literal.

you see, i did another repeat on the shawl,

and these are all the beads i have left.

i have a couple more repeats to go,
and then a lace edging.
the bead store i go to has none,
and can’t get any until next month!
does anyone have roughly 324 miyuki seed beads?
size 6/0
color 135

I NEED BEADS!

and now, to counteract my craziness, a baby alpaca.

say hello to sally’s new baby jezebel.
i love that all the aunties came to see the new baby.

hopefully there’ll be a little baby boy alpaca next year . . .

. . . named steven.

seriously though,
send me beads.

that shawl is GORGEOUS. i’ve bought beads online before (because i didn’t know about the local bead shop) from eebeads.com and artbeads.com. maybe somewhere else, too, but i can’t remember. i would love to go to the local shop next time you go, though–i’ve never been!
hoping to stop by the shop tomorrow for a little bit, though a rush project will preclude my visiting for long. hope i see you there (OR FOR A RUN/WALK ONE MORNING.) (ahem.)

Perhaps, if you don’t score the exact beads you need, you could integrate and nice light amber shade to compliment the beauties already in place? Other than that, that’s all I got…and the ability to go see Jezabel up close and personal, and give her some woobies from you 🙂

I don’t know if they carry those beads, but there is a bead shop in Oakmont – MoonRise Beads (http://www.moonrisebeads.com/index.php). I’ve been there a couple of times, and the owner has always been very helpful. Good luck finding your beads!

Good sources for beads: Earthfaire, Stone Mountain, and T&T trading (based in Michigan!) Also, Webs’ bead store recently went e-commerce I believe.

    Good luck!

That shawl is so gorgeous — darn it, I do not need another shawl on my to-knit list!

I don’t know if they carry the beads you’re looking for, but I’ve bought a lot of beads from artbeads.com before. Also, is the Bead Mine still open on the South Side?

If I had beads, they would be yours. Jezebel wishes for you to know, however, that she hopes she has a little brother next year to name Steven. And, she’s doing her best Rockette kicks in your honor.

Very interesting; I like the yarn color. Where did you get the beads before? Do they not have them/can’t order you more?
