first crochet

April 15, 2010

last night,
in a fit of “i need to f-ing finish something”
i turned to my naalepuder
(that’s danish for pincushion i believe, and the name of the pattern)

i’m not that proficient at crochet.
mostly because i don’t really do it often.
and let’s be real bitches,
most crocheted items are über tacky.
(did i just drop a drama bomb?)

but i find this little buddy to be pretty sweet

and gives me hope for the next generation of hookers

i just have to decide which side is the “right” side.
which do you prefer?

today’s mission,
use my day off to find the perfect buttons.
(my life is so small)
*weep*

It’s so cute! I can’t wait to see it in person.

So you’re going to Loom, are you?

  2. Katie/Robert Says:

Robert says that top picture should be the “right” side. and he also said, “that is cute.” Very seriously of course, because I’m sure you can’t imagine Robert saying that, but he did.

You’re just a bitchy little copy cat aren’t you? I was planning to make that pattern too!

Go with the orange side up. Just because I told you to…

    😉

I like the blue side, there is still the hint of orange, but then you have mostly lovely blue. Yum.

My god you are prolific! And all of it is lovely. When do you do it all?
I agree with you about crochet – and it’s a damn shame. Crochet can and should be gorgeous. Now that you know you can do it – you owe the world more beautiful crochet.
